Game Rules
Eligibility:
In order to be eligible to play every player has to sign the
Norcalathletics roster/liability waiver
Uniforms:
Every team has to wear their assigned color according to schedule or a team uniform.
Light= all white shirts
Dark= dark blue/black shirts
Game Time: 2 (two) 25min. halves
Games are scheduled to start on time with a running clock, if a team does
not have a min.of 5 players after 5 min. of the scheduled game time
the game results into a forfeit.
Game Balls:
Every team has to bring a game ball, neglect to do so can result into a forfeit.
Lost game balls have to be settled amongst teams, and failure to do so can result into a forfeit
Forfeits:
Referees are not required to referee forfeits!
In case of a forfeit your team can be disqualified from the playoffs in order to avoid ejection from the league
Playoffs:
Top 4 teams or as advertised
Seats are based on standings and goal difference.
Guest Players:
3 guest players within the league are allowed, however the opposing team can protest
their eligibility. No guest players are allowed in the playoffs.
Rules:
7 week season, 5 weeks of group play, 2 weeks of cross divisional play, or as advertised

Min. of 5 players needed to start
FIFA Rules with the following exceptions:
Field players can not slide except to prevent the ball from going out of bounds, no off side, no jewelry
Shin-guards and soccer socks are required!
Substitution only with ref approval
No fast start at shot on goal
8v8 Co-ed, 5men and 3 women, or 6men and 2 women if one male player is 44 years or older, min. of 5men to start. b>.
Yellow card offenses:
sub without ref approval
Player has to sit out for 5 min., no substitution allowed, gender ratio has to be maintained.
Red card Offenses:
Out of the game and the next
guilty of serious foul or play
guilty of violent conduct
spits at an opponent or any other person
denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball
denies an obvious goal scoring opportunity
uses offensive, or insulting or abusive language and or gestures
receives a second caution in the same match
Facility Rules:
No gum.
No dogs.
No sugared drinks on the field.
No smoking.
