Game Rules

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible to play every player has to sign the online or offline
Norcalathletics roster/liability waiver and abide by the rules below and our general league rules

Please email us at info@norcalathletics.com if you don't see your correct game score or any score at all.

Field Rules:

Uniforms:

Every team has to wear their assigned color according to schedule or a team uniform.

Light= all white shirts

Dark= dark blue/black shirts

Game Time: 50min

Games are scheduled to start on time with a running clock, if a team does
not have a min.of 6 players after 5 min. of the scheduled game time
the game results into a forfeit.

Game Balls:

Every team has to bring a game ball, neglect to do so can result into a forfeit.

Lost game balls have to be settled among teams, and failure to do so can result into a forfeit

Forfeits:

Referees are not required to referee forfeits!

A forfeit disqualifies teams from participating in the playoffs in
case of a tie in standings

Playoffs:

Top 6 or otherwise communicated

Playoff games are 20min. halves, 3 PK's to decide a game in case of a tie & no guest players!

Rules:

7 week season

Game time is 25min, half time is 2 min.

8v8 co-ed, 6 men 2 women, but if no women are present the team can play with 6 male players without having to forfeit

FIFA Rules with the following exceptions:

No slide tackling, no off side

Shin-guards and soccer socks are required to play!
NO SHINGUARDS NO PLAY!
Substitution only with ref approval

No fast start at shot on goal

Yellow card offenses:

sub without ref approval: 5min. out of the game, no substitution

Examples of Red card Offenses:

Red cards carry a minimum one game suspension or more depending of the severity of the incident.

guilty of serious foul or play

guilty of violent conduct

spits at an opponent or any other person

denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball

denies an obvious goal scoring opportunity

uses offensive, or insulting or abusive language and or gestures

receives a second caution in the same match
